We see that many of you have contacted us via email with questions. Here are our answers to the most frequently asked questions:
1. What has happened to my money?
When will I receive my money?
At this time, as our investigation continues, we know that the money has either been used or embezzled by some of the dismissed employees, or the money is still sitting in an account with Billsource AB. Unfortunately, we don’t have access to the account on Billsource and some of the suspended employees are involved with that company, which means that they are holding your money there for extortion purposes.
2. Can you please send me a reply/please call me?
We had to reduce our staff to control unnecessary expenses and due to that we cannot reply to your messages nor call you. All the information that we have is communicated to you via our website: 24money.se. Please be patient as this is a unique situation and as we are working with the police and with the Swedish Economic Crime Authority (Sw. Ekobrottsmyndigheten), we are restrained in what we can and cannot reveal to you during the current investigation.
3. Why can’t I log in?
How can I access and/or close my account?
Currently, due to the fact that we have no access to the company funds, it would actually cause more confusion for our customers if they’re able to log in to their accounts to transfer money that we have no access to. Therefore, we’ve stopped the operation of the company for the time being, which includes the ability for customers to access their accounts. We don’t have a clear image yet to what the actual situation is with the money as they are kept in an account with Billsource (see answer to question 1).
4. What is going on with the company? What you are doing about the situation?
Which company has taken over 24Money Spar AB?
The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Sw. Finansinspektionen) has deregistered 24Money Spar AB as a deposits company, what does that mean for my money?
I see there’s a threat of bankruptcy, what does that mean for me and my money?
On August 30, Agathon Services LLC purchased 24Money Spar AB and this purchase was confirmed on September 18 by their board. In between these two dates, the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Sw. Finansinspektionen) received some confusing and questionable information on one of the directors of Agathon. They therefore deregistered 24Money Spar AB as a deposits company. Right now, there’s an ongoing appeal process on that matter.
Agathon has every intention to use the current business of 24Money Spar AB to go back to the original idea of 24Money Spar, which is to do investments and earn returns, as originally promised by 24Money Spar. Since the company funds are not available (see answer to question 1), 24Money Spar’s plan is to try to rebuild the business based on new savings from customers in their new account. The company will use this money to make profit of investments and thereby will be able to pay back the customers.
The deregistration from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Sw. Finansinspektionen) causes a temporary pause on everything. Everything will be on pause until we can get the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Sw. Finansinspektionen) to register the company as a deposits company once again. Once they do, we can get back on track again.
5. I’m going to report you/I have reported you to the police and/or Kronofogden.
We are currently working with the police and with the Swedish Economic Crime Authority (Sw. Ekobrottsmyndigheten) regarding this matter, and their investigation is already pointing towards members of the previously mentioned family and the former directors of the company as being responsible for the current chaotic situation.
We encourage you to report what’s going on to the police, to the Swedish Economic Crime Authority (Sw. Ekobrottsmyndigheten) and to any authorities as this will only help us clear things up.
We ask you to please be patient. The company 24Money Spar AB will come back to life with the help of our new parent company Agathon, where they do business in foreign exchange and cryptocurrencies.
We will solve this problem and we are continuing to cooperate on the investigation conducted by the police and by the Swedish Economic Crime Authority (Sw. Ekobrottsmyndigheten), with the hope that they will arrest and punish those who have done damage to the company and to our customers.
We want to help you and we have an action-plan, but we need patience from you. We want you to know that we are acting only in good faith and we can only pray that we will be able to earn your trust once again.
